I don’t know what this is all about, but one thing I do know for sure: “Black means never having to say you are sorry.”

Explain what you mean.

Exactly how am I a bully?

I’ll define it for you:
a blustering browbeating person; especially : one habitually cruel to others who are weaker

Charles Barkley has been married to the same woman for over 25 years. They have one daughter who is in her mid twenties. From what I understand, he is a very good father.

Proud of yourself? Siding with a nasty man?

Ganging up on the women of San Antonio.

Think about this:

What would happen if Rush said this last week? (he never would, he’s a gentleman).

How abut Imus?

What admired celebrity has ever insulted a group of women, and worse, prickishly defied anyone telling him he was wrong.

Men are so busy taking advantage of women on birth control in this country, being addicted to porn, they can’t think about defending women, or telling a guy he’s behaving like a pig.

The problem is not with Obama nor Boner, It’s the weaklings that put them into office and don’t do enough to stop them from ruining the country.

I had a good father. He was an industry captain, was on the ground floor of semiconductors, was a Marine Officer. All his Marine colleagues were at his funeral at his funeral many years after he was no longer in the Marines.

He found jobs for young people constantly. No one around us didn’t have a job.

He was captain of his NCAA 1A football team as a freshman. Was invited to play for the Lions, and turned it down, saying if he got injured he’d be unhappy working a second rate job for which he’d over qualify.

Still got the letter.

He (and we) regularly visited his elderly relatives, he made sure they had things.

And (I found out later) he followed us, and had us followed on dates and when we went out.

He was a good father.

And he was normal. His behavior was common. And he would be disgusted by people putting up with, much less, defending, and admiring this weak behavior.

I miss him every day, but I am glad he doesn’t have to watch the likes of Dana Perino standing up for this, men actually debating this.

And if he had ever insulted a group of women publicly in this way, I would have been horrified, embarrassed and shunned, rightfully, in our community.

If he had defied those asking him to stifle it, the obnoxious, abuser way Charles Barkley did, I wouldn’t know who he’d become.

It wouldn’t matter how many people with low standards defended him.

Good father? Not by my standards. His kids have to live with this shame.

BLechh!!

Barkley says all kind of things. Occasionally he make some pretty strong non-PC points (no pun intended, since he is retired from playing basketball directly) but the casual remark he made, I doubt he invented on his own, since I've heard it before, just not applied to "women of San Antonio".

Here again is what seems to have gotten yor' knickers in a twist;

The "Victoria" and "secret" part I've heard before, in various iterations of basically the same joke.

He's a big guy, with a big mouth, and one never quite knows what he'll say next. They pay him for that, in part. It's part of the crude culture we now live in...

You live in San Antonio? sorry, couldn't resist needling you a bit more...hehhehh

Things move fast in U.S. culture today. It can be difficult to get people to slow down and pay attention. Scolding him for disparaging remarks made towards "big 'ol women" isn't likely to break into the short attention spans of young folks in particular, in today's world where "people of Walmart" videos are seen by a great many at one time or another.

But if you think The Charles remarks were bad, you should see what young girls nowadays are doing to one another in youtube videos.

SAIL-AWOLNATION mash-up by Shawna and Tessa (Meekakitty)

We have only little opportunity to connect with young persons such as the gals who in the above link, did their own little comedy version of this --->http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PPtSKimbjOU which is part of the kind of things many are exposed to...

You may include stories about your father at times, but let the spirit lead. Time is getting short, but doors do open..? If not, they'll just tune you out.

Whining and pining for the past-- it's been done before. Make it good, when or if using that. Explain it --grab their attention, make it count. There is a LOT of competition for folk's attention.
