I was thinking the other day. Back in the 1930s & 1940s a lot of folk singers sang about corruption in DC. Lots of songs about the workforces Roosevelt had, but the only ones making money were his buddies...about the fatcats in DC ignoring the citizen. The exampes are numerous. An example is the song Ramble that Country Joe stole for Fixin tomDie Rag.
And, here we are again. Corruption. The more things change, the more they return to the bad stuff. And, the harder it gets to change it.
