From what I heard yesterday, all of the fires started pretty much at the same time, which raises suspicion right there..whenever it gets very hot here, the crazies come out to start fires and watch it burn..it gets them off

The arson strategy is recommended in al qaeda handbooks, so this is not surprising ... the arsonists and/or their motives in the recent spate of forest fires in America

Yup. They also wait for strong Santa Ana winds to spread the flames quickly. These fires look very suspicious.

i posted this list pretty late last nite on another thread but seems appropriate to this conversation, too. Only the Anaheim and Tomahawk fires were isolated to vehicle fire origins. My guess is the perp lives somewhere in the area south of the last fire. There was no way to get north on I5 or I15 because of extended closures of each from early afternoon on. Don’t know what it means for a high school and a college to be on the list but it might be a hint somehow.

From my location I can see new smoke over the hill to the southwest, looks pretty black - seems to around Oceanside/San Clemente area?

(Bernado Fire/North San Diego County/Del Norte Highschool area - 10:30am Tuesday)

Los Ceritos Wetlands/Long Beach 9:30am - spot fires spread on boats in Alamitos Bay; roof of hotel; wetlands fire was ‘largest in 20 years’
Tomahawk Fire/Fallbrook 9:45am = boxtruck on fire origins
Border Patrol Station/San Clemente 10:00am
Pointsetta/Carlsbad 10:35am
Highway Fire/Rancho Monserate/Rancho Viejo 12:00pm
Freeway Fire/San Onofre/Anaheim 12:30pm big-rig fire origin
Oceanside Fire 1:00pm
Escondito Fire abt 1:00pm
Briggs Fire Santa Paula/Ventura 1:10pm
San Marcos/Cocos Fire 3:45pm- graduation ceremonies cancelled for this weekend
Mission Hills/405 Freeway Fire before 4pm
Aurora Fire/Lakeside 5pm
Scripps Ranch Fire abt 5pm

I live in North County San Diego, and all of those fires began within 25 miles of our town. They did not start at the same time but started in about a one hour sequence. Some mentally deficient and aggrieved dude in an old pickup will no doubt be collared for the crime within the next week.

I’ve been in this area for over 20 years, and I’ve never seen first taking off like this. Very scary. I sure hope they catch these people.

I don’t bet, but I’d guess it could very well be members of the ELF environmental group. They have set fires here before.
