“The Passion of the Christ actor Jim Caviezel has a message about Gods mercy and grace — especially for women who have had abortions. Prepare to be changed.
Caviezel, famed for his role as Christ in The Passion of the Christ, and currently starring as the leading man in TVs Person of Interest, is no stranger to being, well, different in Hollywood. From his publicly Catholic faith to his committed pro-life views, he stands in stark contrast to the typical movie star.
Caviezels personal life is even more remarkable than his incredible on-screen talent. Taking the road less traveled, Jim and his wife Kerri have adopted two children from China, both of whom had special needs.
Their first adopted child, Bo, came to the Caviezels after a traumatic first five years of life. The little boy had a brain tumor and had been abandoned before he was taken in by an orphanage and subsequently adopted by his loving parents. Bo is a remarkably boisterous child, and with the love he has received from Jim and Kerri, it is hard to believe that just a few short years ago he was struggling to survive in a hostile environment.
When asked how becoming a father had affected him, Caviezel told Catholic Digest, Even though theyre adopted, its as strong as any instinct. Thats what blew me away. I always thought if I adopted that I wouldnt have the same feeling [as I would] if they were genetically my own children. Nothing could be further from the truth.
The actor told Catholic Digest in 2009 that being pro-life is more important to him than his career. He told the digest, How are we so arrogant to think the 51.5 million babies who have died in this country
Look, I am for helping women. I just dont see abortion as helping women. And I dont love my career that much to say, Im going to remain silent on this.
Catholic ping!

Wow! On both the adoption opinion and his remark about pro life being so important.
This could get him fired from his show.
The headline of this article doesn’t make sense, and it doesn’t seem to reflect the actual article. Which woman did he say what to anyway?
Yes, Caviezel walks the walk!
“Which woman did he say what to anyway?”
Not only that I’m guessing women who get abortions are sociopaths. If they cry it’s for effect.
Jim will probably be “bumped off” in the next episode. He is one tremendous man. Bob
Very nice...
“..He is one tremendous man “
He certainly is.
Definitely BUMP
Caviezel is the real deal and has no problems telling the world about his Christian faith! It has hurt him in Hollywierd but I have heard him say he could care less. Making Passion of the Christ almost killed him, and I mean really kill him. He had a heartattack making the movie and was also struck by lightning a couple of times. Doctors told him that continuing with the movie might kill him, and he told his wife he was really to go home to be with the Lord if that’s what God wanted, and of course he finished the movie.
God bless Jim Caviezel.
His show is in the top five, I believe. They knew his views before they hired him.
Bttt.
The producers might not care about his beliefs, but when the network is forced to cancel the show, what are they going to do?
Not exactly top 5, but it does very good. It was a great POI season, have to catch up on a few episodes. http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2014/05/13/tv-ratings-broadcast-top-25-the-big-bang-theory-tops-week-33-with-adults-18-49-ncis-with-total-viewers/263177/
Jim Caviezel ping... FREQUENCY!
They'll have to wait 'till next season to do that. The series will be back for its fourth season in the fall. Love the show.
No way. Les Moonves is the best out there. He has the best shows on TV at least the dramas. Jim is not going anywhere. Besides his beliefs have been known for a long time. He would not have “sex” with Ashley Judd in High Crimes because he was married. He was very vocal about his beliefs in The last Temptation of Christ which was WAY before Point of Interest. He is safe......don’t stay up worrying about him. HE WILL NOT BE FIRED!!!!!
My daughter and I saw Jim Caviezel here in Charlotte some years back ... when I was expecting James, maybe? He's a real cutie. His wife also spoke.
