Is it possible to have some sort of kill switch for student cell phones in classrooms? When I worked at a high school recently, a veteran(years teaching) teacher’s arm was grabbed violently by a student retrieving his phone.

Cellphone jammers do exist, but legality is probably an issue. Especially so now that the government is using cellphones as part of the Emergency Alert System.

Yes. You can definitely block cell phone signals in schools. And they should do this.

well.. there is; the paint has metal flakes, after special preparation of the room/building,
you can "turn on/off" the cellphone transmitters/receivers.
