Carney pivoted to stress the president’s support for the VA before responding, “What the president wants is for the review and the investigation to be completed and for action to be taken to address any problems that are identified by the review and the investigation and for individuals to be held accountable if that is appropriate.” The administration is now spinning they inherited this problem from Bush. Well, if so, then the above statement is bunk. Why wasn't all that done back in 2009 when Obama took over?
Typical government bureaucratic lies - "wait for the investigation and report" means "nothing is going to be done so go away, it's old news."
