The plan is to destroy the culture and make a more totalitarian nation where what the left wants goes and anything else is wrong. Going after Mark Twain is aimed at destroying traditions and the authors reputation. The left is knee deep into Fascism.
Pretty much the same as Mao’s “cultural revolution”. Destroy any sense of connection to tradition and history.
