McConnell didn't win it. Bevin lost it. There was the pro-Obamacare statement his company signed, there was showing up at the cock-fighing event, there was that he doesn't have a voting record (and we've been burned before), there's that he came from out of state not too long ago.

He didn't need more money than McConnell, he needed enough money and publicity to be a serious candidate. After that, it was up to hime to have the instincts and vision in fast-moving events. From a distance, I didn't see that, and I didn't hear any passionate disgust about the invasion of the US or that EVerify is not the law of the land.
