“Palestine” is an illegitimate geographical term. It is Israel.

Palestine was the moniker that was given to the are by the Romans and has been a generally accepted term for 2000 years, predating the present Israeli/Palestinian conflict. Israel refers to the State of Israel, not a geographical territory.

The Romans renamed Judaea “Palaestina” after the long-gone Philistines. That does not make the land any less Judaea or (as the Romans spelled it) Israhel.
