The name HP used to bring visions of the world’s best test and measurement equipment.

Now it is used on printers and ink. Agilent is hanging in there...but why give the good name away?

Thanks, oh sales wench - Carly Bimbo - who used the world’s best name for disposables, while watching the production of things she could never operate, let alone understand decrease, decrease, and decrease.

HP is a dead company walking.

"Back in the day" when I ran data centers and computer operations, HP Unix Servers were the choice of Unix professionals everywhere. HP's Unix Servers were top notch, their sales and engineering forces took the time to understand their customers needs and sold just the right solutions.

Now, HP isn't even a good printer company anymore. Just close it up, no one's gonna miss it.

HP is a dead company walking.

The stock market doesn't seem to think so. The price is up 6% today (Friday) so far!
