I had a sheltie that got into a bag of Hershey's kisses one Christmas, my daughter having left it on the floor of her bedroom. It was a full bag, she ate all of them, tin foil and all, and really, no bad effects. I had always thought that the chocolate thing was more of a thing about them eating it regularly, over time.
And, BACON is on this list. Are you kidding me? What dog doesn't love bacon. My corgi shares my bacon every morning.
Our Corgi will eat anything except peas, and she is healthy and beautiful. They are an awesome breed!
What I came across when a similar situation arose was that the darker the chocolate the more the danger arose. White and milk chocolate are probably close to no risk at all.
