Empire is an ethos that seeks to control humankind by restricting it to a lower state of being.Hence NY being termed as "The Empire State". There are a number of said "Empire States" and the willing slaves look down their collective noses at free men and those who would be free as somehow being inferior. Go figure - plantation slaves were the epitome of these sorry excuses who claim "moral superiority".

He's hit on an excellent theory, a branch of epistemology, though it might have been aided with the help of one or two more editors. Without these, it's not yet completely polished, but the shine is there.
It's unfortunate that the community of those who are both aware and who make a study of his "Empire" seems over-populated with the "blind men and the elephant." That is to say, those who insist the elephant is a like a tree, or a snake, or a wall. At least they don't deny the fact obvious to all their other senses, that there is an elephant in the room.
