In Chicago this morning, President Obama made sure to let everyone know that he'll was paying for his breakfast with Illinois governor Pat Quinn. "I don't take free food," Obama said at the food counter.

President Obama and Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn arrived at Valois Restaurant for a hearty breakfast. Valois is clearly an Obama mainstay: A glass cabinet was filled with Valois coffee mugs adorned with Obama’s face, and assorted Obama clippings and photos hung on a wall.
A separate menu board featured “President Obama’s favorites,” including “N.Y. steak and eggs;” two eggs with bacon or sausage; two pancakes; steak omelet; Mediterranean omelet; and an “all-vegi” egg white omelet. Obama appeared to stray a bit from his favorites, ordering two eggs over medium with bacon and hash browns.
Obama ordered at the counter of this casual restaurant and greeted the cooks as he waited for his food, which came out on a plastic tray. The dining area was about half full, and everyone appeared appropriately shocked that the president had strolled in for breakfast.
At the counter, Obama plopped down two twenty-dollar bills and said, “I don’t take free food.” The president and the governor set their trays down on an empty table and spent a few minutes chatting with customers. Obama greeted folks with a “how are you doing?” or a “good to see you” and posed for a few pictures. His food remained untouched as he took photos and talked with a few more people, largely out of earshot of the pool.
Finally, Obama joked that the customers were working him too hard and said that he was going to eat his breakfast with Quinn. The pool was ushered out as they sat down to eat.
Obama spent about half an hour at the restaurant, and by the time he departed, an enthusiastic crowd had assembled outside. The motorcade departed Valois at 9:44 a.m.
Said none of his voters. Ever.
No. He takes free money. Don;t know what he has been doing for the salary we pay him, except screw things up.
Obama worship makes me want to puke.
He probably took the money from one of his SS agents. No way that money was his.
But he lines his wallet with all sorts of kickbacks, stimulus monies and tax dollar paid “freebies”.
We feed this waste of oxygen daily. Useless POSOTUS
“Pay extra for the $6.27 breakfast so that you look like a big-shot. Make you look like an independent man who pays his own way...ala Harry Truman! Yeah, that's the ticket. You are JUST like Harry Truman. That way no one will blame you for taking $17 million vacations or promoting the global warming scam that will cost $700 Trillion. It's the perfect smokescreen. Do it, Barry. DO IT!”
It does make you wonder, doesn’t it? It’s such an odd comment. How many of us comment “I don’t take free food” as we’re paying our restaurant tab? Seriously, the only reason it would occur to him is because he IS used to taking free food and is now denying that fact. The rest of us don’t even have a frame of reference for the thought to cross our minds.

The pool of reporters was escorted out before he ate, so who knows if he actually did:

My thoughts as well. He must feel some of his presstitutes are considering leaving his harem or he’d have no need to make such a statement.
I'll consider him maybe even close when he picks up his own suitcases and scleps them to the station on the day he moves out of the White House as HST did.
That event will be almost as happy a day for America as when we won WWII

but he takes free vacations and air force one trips all’over the world.
yeah paying for one breakfast will really offset that.
Let’s see... He lives in free deluxe accommodations, flies free in a luxery jumbo jet, free heliocopter rides over the peons in traffic, free limo service, free golf, free vacations, free parties with hollyweird sycophants.
A twenty dollar photo op isn’t even pocket change.
