One revelation that the talk-newsies seemed to miss regarding the VA situation came from a caller to Levin's radio program. The caller said that most of the VA employees are unionized and that is a big part of the problem.

I had not read or heard anywhere else that the VA employees are unionized. A quick Google search this morning showed this article on WND.com:

I too paused in thought about the VA and the union people.

I once worked at a hospital in Baltimore, ran by nurse’s union the Service employees union.

Those unions had so many rules about when and how they work. Eventually the hospital went down and was turned into a nursing home.

They couldn’t work in the rain, the sun must not burn skin, Tuesday were out, no workee on holiday including National Watermelon week.

And it will soon be the same with Obamacare.

That was an awful experience, that pathetic little hospital, which served the poor people of Baltimore by the way.

Cause with the unions, they launder the money as it flows TO the politicians and as it flows BACK in.

Count on it, the unions are the problem and that law to allow firing at the VA easier...NOT going to go. AND IT WILL NEVER GET BETTER!
