RE: My grandfather was Irish. Notre Dame’s team name perpetuates a stereotype of the Irish, implying that we are unusually combative. Guess what? I’m not offended.

Well, the players for the Boston Celtics are mostly .... BLACK. And I don’t think there is anyone in the team now with Irish, Scottish or Gaelic ancestry.

When you see natural reddish hair, non-brown eyes and/or some freckles on the Celtics, you KNOW there is some European blood in them. MOST blacks have some white blood.

My husband and I got to visit Kenya some years ago. I was SHOCKED, truly SHOCKED, at what REAL Africans look like.
They are EBONY, black as my computer. I hadn't realized how BLACK real Africans are.

There was an African-American middle aged couple there too and they appeared shocked as well. In fact, THEY looked white compared to the Kenyans.

I think we Americans forget just how much WHITE has been interjected into the African-origin blood here.

We have a Nigerian priest at our parish...also EBONY. No surprise to me. He is 100% African.
