Chile is my bug-out location when the SHTF. Santiago is a wonderful place to work - most are industrious and dedicated. But the Latin Curse is upon them - just when things go well you get some populist who claims to Stand for The Poor and enough buy into it and POOF - Argentina/Venezuela/Paraguay/Ecuador/Peru - pitiful messes and lots of suffering.
Too bad - its a great place.
