Myrtle is a dump full of rif raff. We drive the extra couple of hours and go to Hilton Head (just got back on Saturday). Much nicer, not a commercial circus and no rif raff.
Hilton ahead was awesome! Stayed there in 2005 and when we asked about going up to MB everyone would tells us those folks were weird and why would we want to go up there! Found out when we got there it was the carny capital of the Carolina’s!
Hiltopn Head Island is nice, if you avoid the summer months & tournament weeks. Both traffic & temperatures are milder in the off season. Not as expensive as it is thought to be, either.
