Great plan. Go off in a corner and pout. And we wonder why the Democrats are in power in a Conservative country.

You preach it, brother. Especially when the person will likely be in a position to stifle whatever conservativeness is left in the ‘Pubs.

Or wonder why the liberals are in power under a Republican majority?

Are you telling me that I need to vote for a liberal pro-abortion gun grabber if he wins the republican nomination?

Speak clearly. Tell me to vote for a liberal pro-abort gun grabber if he wins the republican nomination.

"Go off in a corner and pout."

This is so easy tonight! Like fishing with a rifle in a trout pond!

BTW, Wayne Christain was my St. Rep until he was re-districted out by Strauss because Christain fought Strauss being speaker...openly. He was always voted one of the top conservatives in the state house.

He's a good friend.

And I won't be sulking. I'll be actively working against liberals. Especially liberal republicans in leadership positions.

The GOP can get conservative or it can get destroyed. I don't care which.

RINOs helped get us in this mess. I don’t particularly care what the letter is beside the elected official doing us wrong. There are some states where people have to pinch their noses and vote... Texas ain’t one of them!

Dan Patrick’s spot will be blank on my ballot. I won’t vote for the democrat, but undervotes are counted as a sign of weakness in support... that is the message I want to send. Patrick will win, but every undervote is a message to him that the base is not happy with him.

Not saying Christian isn't a good guy. I just pointed out that an engineer in that position could be a good match.

It's so damn rare for politicians to actually have an area of technical expertise.

Not being from Texas, I’m a bit at sea with your comment. Did you vote for Patrick in the run-off?

So do you insist on voting for a pro-abortion gun grabber if he wins the republican nomination? Go ahead and admit it.

If you vote for a liberal, you are a liberal.

President Perot...wasn't he the husband of that singing lady in Argentina or Peru?

What number was that respoonse on your crib sheet? Near the top, wasn't it! I thought you were a little quick with it.

Heck no! And I won’t vote for him in the general. I won’t vote in that race, it is called an undervote and the number crunchers do take note of undervotes.

When Conservatives are added to the Republican caucus in either the House or the Senate, two things can occur, both of them are good. They can replace the existing leadership with someone who reflects their political preferences. As Conservative members gain power within the caucus, the leaders will change their behavior in order to stay in power. Either way, it’s good for Conservative so long as the caucus has the majority.

If you are a minority party, then it doesn’t matter because the Democrats will do what they want and what you think won’t receive any consideration by anyone. Without power, Conservatism is nothing. That’s really where we are now, isn’t it.
