They will do absolutely ANYTHING and EVERYTHING to prevent a conservative from getting a nomination, or, short of that, denying him or her a victory in November.
Because to a moderate republican, in a race between a conservative and a democrat, the democrat is the lesser of two evils.
I've spent the past year demonstrating this time and time again. And a lot more are catching on!
GO DONNELLY !
4 votes in my household for Tim Donnelly. Screw Karl Rove and the GOPe.
Karl Rove destroyed the California Republican Party when they inserted their RINO idiot to run it, after refusing to give any money to support Bill Simon against Gray Davis, and then when the conservatives recalled Davis, pushing Arnold into the gap.
Bill Simon was not all that popular here, but he was a good man (falsely accused by a corrupt judge at election time) who only lost by a small margin—with NO money given to support him by either the state or the national party chairs.
Needless to say, Arnie finished the job of wrecking the party.
California is going to hell in a hand basket, never in my life have I spent so much money on Gas as I did when I was there last year, and the bills in California are only going much, much higher.
Karl Rove is probably right about how the Democrats will uses this man to run against all the rest of us everywhere else. But frankly I couldn’t live with a vote for his only opposition, so I can’t ask any California Republican to do either.
Thanks Karl. I did not know how to vote in the California primary until Rove popped off. If Donnelly wants to be the sacrificial lamb thats ok with me. I hope he puts up a fight.
FUKR!! FUGOPe!!
I got a few people to vote Donnelly by exposing this POS Rove coming out for Kashkari... Go Tea Party!
Simon’s campaign in 2002 was plain odd. After knocking out the execrable and senile leftist Tricky Dick Riordan in the primary, he just totally went to sleep when he should’ve kept on running and running hard. Had Simon taken Davis to the cleaners, he very well could’ve been the Presidential standard bearer in 2008. That Ah-nold ended up as Governor was the biggest disaster to befall California absent Jerry Brown (and frankly, he made it possible for Brown’s return). Ah-nold buried what was left of the CA GOP.
Boss, while you are at it, could throw a few of those at super RINO David Dewhurst here in Texas. In 4 minutes we conservative are about to rid our state of this career political enabler, and have THROWN THIS BUM OUT!!!!!!
It’s California. If a Republican wins, they just get blamed for everything.
A republican candidate in CA has about as much chance of winning an election as I have of winning the Nobel Prize in Womyns Studies. It’s not even worth thinking about, vote for any R you want, maybe try for some downticket R’s for school district or assessor. CA is utterly cooked.
Certainly. FUDD (FReepU DD)!!
I believe we have heard that tune before, sure hope we don't dance to it again.
Like it’s going to matter.
Karl Marx = today’s Karl Rove...
Thanks....:)
Simon beat Riordan by a 2-1 margin in the primary. That infuriated Rove, who moved in and replace the party bosses in the state with a jerk whose name I forget.
The story was that Simon didn’t run as hard as he could, but that was at least partly a manufactured story. He had no campaign funds from the GOP, the new state chair discouraged the usual donors from giving to him, and of course the press bad-mouthed him non-stop. And that crooked judge made the chief story as the election approached that Simon was a dirty, crooked capitalist. Rove agreed, and Bush refused to support Simon. Without sufficient funds, he had no way to get the word out and contradict all the lies.
Yet, even with all that, he only lost by about 2%. Given even lukewarm support from the party, he would have won.
I'll answer Kanned Hamm
