I don’t want to live in a place where somebody, especially a 15 year old, gets killed over a bale of hay of a toolbox( especially mine, since most of my tools came from Fred Meyer). If that makes me progressive or touchy-freely, I guess I’ll have to live with that.
We have talked about using deadly force to stop people committing rapes, kidnappings, etc. , which I think is appropriate. To me, it sort of waters down the seriousness of those crimes to respond the same way in a case like this, where the guy didnt fear for his life.
