ALFRED HITCHCOCK PRESENTSAlfred Hitchcock came to TV in 1955, and his anthology show lasted for a full decade. He would introduce the show in a droll manner and at the end explain how the bad guy got justice, even though that was not shown in the actual show itself. It was Hitchs way of getting around the network censors.
His musical collaborator, Bernard Hermann, suggested Funeral March of a Marionette by Charles Gounod as his theme.
