Amid jubilation Saturday over the release of U.S. Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl from captivity by the Taliban, senior Republicans on Capitol Hill said they were troubled by the means by which it was accomplished, which was a deal to release five Afghan detainees from the military prison in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
Top Republicans on the Senate and House armed services committees went so far as to accuse President Obama of having broken the law, which requires the administration to notify Congress before any transfers from Guantanamo are carried out.
“Trading five senior Taliban leaders from detention in Guantanamo Bay for Bergdahl’s release may have consequences for the rest of our forces and all Americans. Our terrorist adversaries now have a strong incentive to capture Americans. That incentive will put our forces in Afghanistan and around the world at even greater risk,” House Armed Services Committee Chairman Howard P. McKeon (R-Calif.) and the ranking Republican on the Senate Armed Services Committee, James M. Inhofe (Okla.), said in a joint statement.

I didn’t hear him speak today either, but I always make sure to avoid any Obama press conferences, just the sound of his voice makes me want to blow chunks. I knew something didn’t smell right, from the beginning..has Obama EVER done anything to benefit America? I can’t think of one thing..everything Obama has ever done is done to benefit HIM or take the focus off of HIM..all that was confirmed to me today was my original theory about Benghazi being a Blind Sheikh for Stevens swap, I now believe it more than ever

Barry appears to be inviting impeachment by deliberately breaking the law! His team thinks making him appear to be a victim of race-mob persecution will improve their chances of keeping Harry Reid in control of the Senate, I suppose.
Perhaps Barry is trying to divert attention from the impending Arpaio accusations?

Its what I always believed, from the beginning, but people kept on discounting it, saying that it would not benefit Obama by swapping the Blind Sheikh for Stevens..but with a media in his pocket he would have probably won in a landslide and been declared a hero for saving Stevens life..it was all about winning the election

As bizarre as it seemed at the time I first heard it, I had to put it in the realm of possibilities. As time went on, it gained credibility in my mind as the subsequent events/explanations unfolded. Also, i would put nothing past Hillary and Obama…especially given the words of wisdom from Bastiat, “Everything about socialism is sham and affectation.” - 23.11 Ch23; Evil; Economic Harmonies…and my own thoughts, “The lie is the weapon used most often by the criminal”.

They thought that by getting Stevens back, that is all that would matter..Obama would be called a hero by the press and he would have won in a landslide, but the swap didn’t go as planned, they didnt expect the other three men to show up. I dont believe the intention was for anyone to die that night, just for Stevens to be taken hostage so the Blind Sheikh could be swapped for him, but when the other three brave men appeared, I think Obama cronies said F it and let them all die
