It is a matter of fact that no-one has ever won an election on a platform of hostility to the EU. I won three elections as a pro-European. Margaret Thatcher won her first two elections as a pro-European.” …

This is the face of the future — “leaders” who ignore the will of the people.

Voting is only for making their subjects feel like they are participating.

The folly is to keep risking Britain in the EU. just like I would rather put my money in my neighbor’s trust than the Federal Reserve.

Blair is a big government collectivist... You know... Like trusting your money to a crowd of idiots instead of a single trusted spouse or neighbor. but hey, we are so all gay now.

Doing so makes them eligible for a "Profiles in Courage" award from Caroline "You Know" Kennedy.

This is the best visual of the European "union" from Wiki:

Britain is not part of Eurozone or the Schengen Security (which is why traveling from Europe to US via UK, you pass security AGAIN...

Britain not being in the Schengen Area is a good thing.

Actually it was the end of the last ice age that caused them to leave Europe. They will be reunited once again when the ice age returns.

Not much has been heard from former British Prime Minister Tony Blair lately.

Well, for a time he was quite busy with his good friend Mrs. Murdoch.

The graphic on Post 7 would look more realistic if they had a picture of a big, hulking leech (PIIGS countries?) attached to the blue EU circle.

Actually it was the end of the last ice age that caused them to leave Europe.

Rather a weak argument, if I may say so. The conventional definition of a continent, of which Europe is one, includes all islands resting on that continent's shelf. The British Isles have therefore always been included in the geographical Europe.
