So if Cochran wins with Democrat support and he is now a bit beholden to the left, who could still hold their noses to vote for him in November?
I guess we are just asking for too much “purity” to expect that GOP leaders not be beholden to Democrats and use Democrats to win primary elections. lol.
This is Uniparty stuff
Which is why we need a new party...to stop these shenanigans.
US Senate GOP | |||
|
|||
Thad Cochran (Inc.) | 70,733 | 51%
Chris McDaniel | 66,814 | 48%
Thomas Carey | 2,377 | 2% | |
US Senate Democrat | |||

Bump.
Bump.
I agree Geronl
Had Cochran not pulled out that dirty trick to get cross over Rat votes
I might have held my nose.
However, because he reached out to RATS to save him in the primary,
let the RATS save him in the general.
What this means is that "party" has devolved into spots on a ballot.
We saw it with Arlen Specter, who went from being a Democrat to being a Republican to being a Democrat again, just to get on the ballot.
We saw it with Michael Bloomberg, who ran for NYC Mayor as a Republican only because all the spots on the Democrat side were taken. He eventually switched to Independent after winning.
We saw it with Charlie Crist. We saw it with Joe Lieberman. They went the Independent route.
At least Lisa Murkowski stayed a Republican and went the write-in route. And Phil Gramm resigned as a Democrat and asked the voters to reelect him as a Republican.
If they switch parties solely for ballot access, then that means they have no core beliefs other than wanting to hold an office to rule over others.
