There is almost nothing in that article I disagree with, which is why I hope McDaniel wins.
That doesn’t change the fact that there are a lot of republican senators that vote worse than Cochran, and so if he wins I don’t believe it is the tragedy that others suggest.
But I apologize to those who want to be inconsolable, and hope there is no need for such consolation. In any case, nothing I said could make a difference as I never said anything good about Cochran before the polls closed, and nothing I say now can change a single vote.
So arguing against me is really just arguing about how bad we should feel if he wins. Which is a fine argument, but it scares me how seriously people want to feel really bad.
Hopefully, nobody will have to feel bad at all, except those who really wanted Cochran.
