Someone help me out here: Wasn’t there a Mayor of New York by the name of Ed Koch? And it was pronounced “ch” as in choo choo? Why are the Koch brother’s names, then, pronounced like “Coke”? Just wondering.

I thought they pronounced the ke like ok, as in the Big Koch Brothers.

Because different families pronounce the same word (last name) differently. It happens.

I had a high school classmate of that name...he pronounced it “cook.”
