I'm surprised I haven't seen more commentary on the parallels between Bergdahl and "Old Shoe" in the film, "Wag The Dog."

For those that haven't seen the film, suffice it to say that the powers that be invent a hero POW to distract the public, and he turns out to be, well, less than a hero...
