Is there a reliable, accurate and non-invasive way to analyze gold pieces and bars?

Is there a reliable, accurate and non-invasive way to analyze gold pieces and bars? Ultrasound. Google "gold bar ultrasound" to learn more.
Beware x-ray fluorescence. It's only a surface test.

"Its gold. Do you think its valid?" Nope.
Only tungsten is good in Ghana.

"Is there a reliable, accurate and non-invasive way to analyze gold pieces and bars?"My friend uses Aqua regia.
He has a rough stone that he rubs the gold object on, Aqua regia will remove the gold 'stain' but not much else. He buys gold a yard sales.

and tungsten mostly comes from..... China? I wish I could find the link to it, but there is actually a company in China that will make fake gold coins and bars for you. As noted in the article, they coat tungsten with a thin layer of gold.
Of course, the Chinese company says that their products are for "novelty" purposes only.
