When first shown the Kinect, at a terribly awkward Christmas celebration (I was the token pasty white), I and 2 of my acolytes sorta reverse engineered it as we could with just a laptop, etherape (and a promiscuous network port) , and observation....

There’s an app for the Kinect that does a pretty good 3D scan (like a laser). I would imaging the Leap would do a fantastic scan.
