Why did Republicans in the Texas Legislature pass in state tuition for illegal aliens?
The law doesn't specify illegal aliens...or address their situation in any way.
The law provides in-state tuition for all students who a.) have resided in the state for at least three years and b.) graduated from a high school located in the state.
Unavoidably, that includes a lot of illegal aliens.
