English schoolchildren will be taught “British values” in the wake of a report that some schools had been taken over by Islamists.
Michael Gove, the education minister, said that in future all of England’s 20,000 elementary and high schools will have to promote British values of tolerance and fairness.
The announcement came in the wake of the “Trojan horse” scandal which found that some schools in the central city of Birmingham had been taken over by Islamists.
Regulator the Office for Standards in Education said Monday it had found a “culture of fear and intimidation” at a minority of the 21 schools it inspected. Five were found to have failed to protect students from extremism.
The review found that one of the schools had been funding a Madrassa from its own budget; at another school only Muslim children had been taken on trips to Saudi Arabia; a third school regularly broadcast a call to Muslim prayer over the school’s loudspeaker in the playground, while another school taught in biology that “evolution is not what we believe.”

Indeed, The Duke and his wife were on first name basis with many of the Nazi elite. When the Germans invaded the Low Countries and France, the Duke and his entourage deserted his post, finally arriving in Lisbon, Portugal (were he was very chummy with the German ambassador).
As a member of the Royal Family, the Duke was privy to the most secret information about his country's war operations. These actions he or his wife dutifully passed along to his German ambassador friend. Things got so leaky that Churchill had a private meeting with King George V. Churchill laid out the Duke's treason (and that the Germans had promised the Duke reinstatement as King if he took Britain out of the war), King George V recalled the Duke to Britain rather than have British intelligence arrange for the Duke to have a very serious and fatal accident.
Once back in Britain, the Duke continued to be a pro-Nazi shill. The King and Churchill got him posted to Bermuda as its Governor General. The Duke was effectively muzzled until after the end of the war in 1945 (no Germans on Bermuda to blab to).
I wonder if these ass-hats have the courage to teach their students that the Holocaust actually happened? Or would that be too hateful and controversial?

I’m a teacher in a UK school, and we make a big thing of Holocaust Memorial day. We have had several survivors of the camps come in to speak to our students. We have run school trips to Auschwitz. Your pessimism, on this matter, is unfounded.

If you’re a teacher in a UK school, or even just a resident of the UK I would say you have much bigger problems to deal with than misinformed people on the internet who are concerned about the Muslim infiltration of your society.
Having said that I am very happy to hear that you are teaching about the Holocaust, and I apologize for offending you.
Do you think your school will still be teaching the truth of the Holocaust in 20 years? I hope so.
I don’t mean to be a pest, but your response brings up a question- Am I correct in assuming that you don’t teach in one of the Birmingham schools that was discussed in the story?
What prompted my remark was a story I read about a Palestinian professor who had to resign after receiving death-threats for taking his students on a field trip to a German WWII concentration camp.
Apologies for the delayed reply - I do teach in a Birmingham school, but not any at the centre of these allegations. Being local I am fully aware of the current situation and have to say it’s been brewing for years. The Head of English at my old school said that a similar plot had taken place at Moseley School (also in Birmingham) when she worked there some 5 years ago, and it resulted in the Secretary of State for Education sacking the school’s governing board and the “puppet” Head teacher. This didn’t make the papers.
What non-Muslim would want to send their kid to Saudi Arabia?!?!
