Bottom line (assuming he’s telling the truth): “The Tolly-bahn demanded that we violate US law by not notifying congress, and we of course complied with that demand.”
80 - 90 people knew in the six month run up. Not a one was in Congress in accord with the law.
Either Hagel acted outside his authority, or, he is calling the president a liar...
Either or, it cannot be anything else...
I do see another presidential pardon being typed up and signed, to be delivered as Obama leaves office...
Along with pardons for Valerie Jarrett, Eric Holder, etc etc etc...
That drawer, in our desk, he is using in the Oval office, is getting pretty full of those things...
MeKeon is almost apologizing to Hagel about not being informed. He said that they would have had no problem with the deal itself. WTF.
Hagel's opening statement was simply a restatement of administration talking points. No clarification of many contradictions.

It’s turning into a 60s style Love In. Transgender Chuck snookered them with his patriotic, Red, White and Blue opening statement. Reminding them that he was a Vietnam Vet was a nice touch.

he needs to be asked why a chopper full of our SpecOps folks were risked in such a fishy deal? They were clearly not prepared and didn’t even take the time to search Bergdahl well . And what about the news that the Taliban detainees were released first by a few days ? He is saying they were released AFTER we got Bergdahl . Will not any ‘member of Congress’ ask him this ? Or do they even know? Do these guys do their homework before going into committee ?

Hagel’s right index fingernail is black. Did Obama or Brennan get a hammer after him befor the hearings?

The issue is not whether we should try to get Bergdahl back, but rather, what price should we pay. The price for Bergdahl was too high—that is the point.

Good observation from Eric Bolling fan Kim Solis Shapiro regarding Chuck Hagel’s testimony:
“Pathetic! Did you hear him say they knew not of the location of pick-up until one hour before? One hour??? Benghazi, 7 hours and no one came to assist them. One hour, location unknown, to fly into hostile territory for Bergdahl. Who is lying now or who lied then?”
