Eric Cantor's Pollster Blames Democrats For Stunning Loss
Business Insider ^ | 06/11/2014 | Colin Cmapbell

House Majority Leader Eric Cantor's loss to his little-known primary rival Tuesday night was made all the more surprising by Cantor's own pollster's confident predictions on the race.

Less than a week before Cantor's upset loss, the pollster, John McLaughlin, released a survey indicating Cantor had a 62% to 28% lead over his Republican opponent, Dave Brat. Brat would go on to win by 11% — a huge, 45-point shift that was far outside the poll's margin of error.

The purpose is to elect the weaker candidate so that in Nov the democrats beat the repub candidate very easily..
The Dems are more scared of Cantor than a unknown Mr Brat.

Well, that would seem to be the obvious motive but if you look at it more deeply it doesn’t make sense. With Cantor the Dems had someone who was going to push for amnesty and being the second in command in the House, Cantor had the ability to maybe get that done. He was the best alley on immigration that the Dems could possible have.

Ok so now the Dems may have a better chance to win VA-07 but to what avail. They’re still not going to have the House, someone who could have helped them on amnesty is gone and the message to RINO’s is that amnesty is radioactive.

I just doens’t make sense.

I agree with you..Some of the articles i have read have said very low turnout in Dem precints..
I think this might be spin by the liberal media to portray Brat only won because of the Dems..

We all know voter turnout for the Dems in November will be abysmal and we have also been informed by the media that the teaparty is dead.
I believe the media is trying to turn a negative into a positive.... I hope that kinda makes sense, coffee has not kicked in yet.

I strongly suspect that this pollster will soon be offering fire sale discounts on his polls to other candidates.

Thanks for that link. While this sort of mischief is certainly in play - I watched it work against the Republicans when I lived in Washington state - there doesn’t seem much point to it in this particular district. Based on what Kabar posted I’m guessing that the pollster was using old sample. And will probably be fired for it.

"Untold story," McLaughlin continued, "is who were the new primary voters? They were probably not Republicans."

That may or may not be true, but we can be certain that McLaughlin would be the last person anyone would want to ask either way.

In any case, if the Dems want to help us take down the establishment leadership, God Bless 'Em. We should start emailing them about their opportunity to help take down Cochran.
