An economic and military axis has formed practically under our noses, and has seemingly gone unnoticed and unremarked by the Current Regime. The Russian Federation, and Vladimir Putin thumb their noses at us with almost total immunity, and there is not one effective step the Current Occupant now squatting in the White Hut, is either able or willing to take to counter this geopolitical chess game move.

Soon it shall be that territory once known as “the United States of America” that will be isolated and begging at the doorsteps of the world.

There was a time when France was among the most feeble and pitiful of lands. We are about to go through just such a transformation.

China will expand, but not only to the South. I wouldn’t be surprised if parts of Siberian Russia wind up with an Asian version of reconquista, with more Chinese than Russian population.

The only redeeming feature is that they have been enemies under the surface for centuries.

The US no longer has an independent and self sufficient manufacturing base and is rapidly losing control of its food supply. In a conventional war with China we would lose access to the Asian factories that produce our clothing, our electronics and our consumer goods. Rebuilding the manufacturing self sufficiency that existed at the beginning of WWII would take years and we would likely not have time.

If China could take out our carriers with missiles or subs, we would be unable to project our military power. Remember it was only a few years ago that a Chinese submarine surfaced undetected in the middle of a US carrier task force.

Obama has stated an intent to reduce the US nuclear arsenal to 300 weapons and ultimately to eliminate it. Given his behavior as CINC, with a compliant Joint Chiefs of Staff it may be he has already secretly unilaterally terminated our nuclear arsenal. http://www.stltoday.com/news/national/obama-weighs-big-cuts-in-nuclear-weapons-stockpile/article_a3f9b7f5-f92c-5adc-b813-53d71228356a.html

The nation is extremely vulnerable to an EMP first strike. We have limited visibility from satellites launched into polar orbit and approaching from the south. Russia and/or China could easily arrange for North Korea to launch an EMP attack against the US from a satellite approaching from the south. If there was any retaliation from our submarine fleet it would be directed against North Korea and not the Chinese or Russian mainland. All our enemies have to do is wait a year for 2/3 to 3/4 of the US population to die when the electrical grid goes down and the food supply chain terminates. At that point China can unload millions of colonists on the west coast while commandeering our natural resources. Game over. http://www.presstv.com/detail/2014/04/13/358400/n-korea-can-attack-us-with-nuclear-emp/

Just saying:

Last year America bought 440 billion dollars of goods from China.

During the same year, China bought just 122 billion dollars from America.

A one-year deficit, of over 300 billion dollars.

Not to mention the advancements being made by both countries in small arms and conventional warfare technology. They’ll be fielding advanced small arms in then next year or two while we regurgitate the M16 platform again.

Thanks to the Hughes Amendment... also known as 922 (o) or the machine gun ban, all tech in this area has ground to a halt. Every small arm platform being used today by our military is a regurgitation of designs made prior to the 1986 ban. Many even predate the 1968 GCA.

Those laws effectively stopped R&D into small arms technology in this country. For manufacturers, there is no way to recoup the costs of developing advanced full auto small arms to counter what our enemies have developed. We’ve been stagnant for almost half a century.

If a war happens between the US and China or Russia and we lose our electronic warfare advantage, we are going to be in a world of hurt and we will not win that war.

922 (o) is a serious threat to national security that Congress refuses to address. I’ve tried countless times to get them to understand what is happening but they don’t care. The political BS has put us in a very bad situation that I fear will come to fruition far sooner than expected.

In 2009, I was asked to examine a rifle captured by our troops in the middle east. The rifle was decades ahead of anything I’d ever seen before. It incorporated technology to mitigate recoil, cyclic rate, stabilization and used an operating system that was extremely efficient and well thought out. The rifle appeared to be a finished product, not a prototype or one off.

And yet, our elected officials continue to hold on to the ban for political expedience rather than do what is right for our nation and allow the firearms industry to have a reason to develop new technology to counter what our enemies have. The Government here isn’t paying for R&D on small arms. It’s too engrossed in electronic warfare tech to worry about it.

So, to be blunt, our elected officials worry more about public perception instead of national security while our enemies continue to advance their capabilities. Every one of our elected officials will bear the cross of their hubris for this should we go to war with China or Russia.

Among other things, they’re banding together to try to destroy our currency and economy — not that we’re not doing a fine job of that ourselves.
