Right. My diabetic husband will be 79 in a few days, if he wants to eat fried shrimp and buttered noodles, then he can have ‘em. His younger sister is always ragging on me because he doesn't eat right.

He was in the hospital for a few days getting a stent. They ordered a heart healthy/diabetic diet for him. It was the most vile food I have ever seen and he refused to eat it. I would go down to the cafeteria and bring food up to him. The look on the cardio doctor's face was priceless when he walked in and MrD was eating a bacon sandwich. He is happy and feels good, that's what I care about most.

When the Lord is ready for him he will go. I will miss this sweet guy terribly but I refuse to spend our remaining months or years together fighting over what he gets to eat.
