Ted Cruz supports the abuse of the interstate commerce clause. But I won't dump him because of it.
Too many so-called conservatives don't give a whit about the interstate commerce clause as long as its abuse doesn't affect them.
A whole lot of folks now are talking about legalizing pot
.And you can make arguments on that issue. You can make reasonable arguments on that issue. The president earlier this past year announced the Department of Justice is going to stop prosecuting certain drug crimes. Didnt change the law.
So cool, he agrees with Scalia, and is at odds with Thomas. But hey, it doesn't affect me, so who cares?
He would, by extension, have to feel the same way about the prohibition of incandescent light bulbs and high-flow toilets. But, as long as he is true-blue on abortion and immigration, we'll pretend his inconsistencies don't exist.
Now, I love Ted Cruz. But somewhere along the line, we forgot the 11th commandment. Big time.

If you make an honest reading of Pauls statements, positions, endorsements and the rest, you will see multiple issues. Not one or two. Last month alone he had an orgasm of liberalism with every two days or so bringing with it a very unconservative position/statement.
That is more than one niggling little detail. That is a pattern of unconservative activity.
Now in any other aspect of life...say your kids if you have them. If little Johnny lies to you daily, are you inclined to reward him? How about your wife? Your boss? If you catch your wife with the pool boy planning a getaway, are you apt to buy them tickets to the theater?
No. And likewise, Paul’s pattern of liberal/Rino behavior means he’s about as faithful as a porn chick at a swingers club.

BLITZER: So, just to be precise, if you believe life begins at conception, which I suspect you do believe that, you would have no exceptions for rape, incest, the life of the mother, is that right?
PAUL: Well, I think that once again puts things in too small of a box. What I would say is that there are thousands of exceptions. You know, Im a physician and every individual case is going to be different, and everything is going to be particular to that individual case and whats going on with that mother and the medical circumstances of that mother.
