Iraq is a shambles. Insurgents fighters are pushing south with the apparent end goal of taking Baghdad, the countrys capital. Meanwhile, after the Iraqi military fled, Kurdish troops in Iraqs north have taken control of the city of Kirkuk, extending the autonomous region they already controlled.
Its a volatile situation, and it isnt clear where the spiral stops. While the United States pulled virtually all of its remaining troops from Iraq in 2011, there are thousands of Americans still there. They include U.S. diplomats and embassy personnel, private security contractors, and private military advisers to the Iraqi government.
Its also unclear what precautions each of these groups has taken as violence in Iraq mushrooms.
In a different era, the United States might already have shuttered its embassy in Iraq in the face of violence and a host country unable to check civil unrest, according to a State Department inspector general report released in May 2013. It was kept open and identified as a test bed for expeditionary diplomacy, the report said.
Because the U.S. Government believes it is important to engage directly with Iraqs Government and people, however, the mission requires an unprecedented level of security and life support, the report said, adding that risk assessments are conducted every day.

Please pray for my son. He is one of the private security there. For obvious reasons, I am not mentioning his name nor his assignment.
When the regime does the wrong thing here, and they will, watch for other nasty groups to make big moves in other parts of the world.

Done, please keep us posted.
0-bass-turd will also be happy to allow our troops to be killed in Iraq during the Alquida resurgence and Taliban growth; this disgusting and should be impeachable but that won’t happen; blood will be on his hands and he won’t be held accountable by anyone but God.
Obama said al Qaeda is on the run...
Well I guess that is technically true...
On the run towards to control a good chunk of the middle east, including Iraq where Obama claimed victory...
I think we could end all this conflict if we could just get this Climate Change thing under control.
In short pretty much what we had in Benghazi before 0bama abandoned them. Prayers up.
Prayers up. Praying he gets out of there safely.
(Keep the Faith, my friends! We are the saviors of the Republic! Now and Forever!)

This has the possibility of redefining what bad is. What the heck is expeditionary diplomacy. Intentionally putting thousands of your own citizens in harms way, for what ?
“...blood will be on his hands and he wont be held accountable by anyone but God.”
Well, that is the judgment which matters.
And the treasonous American left will rejoice now just as they did then.
The only difference is that in a few years, we will have to back again and kill them all.
Prayers up!
More like Cambodia!!
Would this be the same State Dept. Security office that reviewed the Libyan diplomatic stations? Ambassador Stevens was unavailable for comment
