Meet the Most Successful Terrorist Leader [ISIS] Since Osama Bin Laden [Must see video]
TIME ^ | June 12, 2014 | Francesca Trianni

Emboldened by its success in Syria and Iraq, al-Qaeda is widening its reach

There’s a name that you should remember: Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the commander of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS), whose fighters now control large swaths of Iraq.

There are few photos of al-Baghdadi, and even fewer details about his life are well-known. But as Iraq is engulfed by conflict and the country’s second largest city fell to Sunni extremists, the influence of Islamic terrorism’s newest star is set to grow.

TIME’s International Editor Bobby Ghosh explains the danger behind al-Baghdadi’s rise to power, and what that means for both Europe and the United States.

The most successful terrorist leader since Bin Ladin sits in the White house — by the name of Obama. He strikes terror in my heart and in the hearts of millions every day.

Baghdadi wants to capture his home town for a capital to his new Islamic state—Lots of heads will roll over this. Good news—before he takes more land he will need to fight Iran. That’s coming—and fight Russia too. He will declare himself Caliph and march on Mecca! Maybe the old Chickens are coming home to roost in the Middle east at last.

Jim I tried to research old freerepublic threads from 2011 on Obama withdrawing troops from Iraq, but every time I click on a thread, it takes me to the original article that is the subject of the thread, bypassing the actual freerepublic thread.

How do we get on the old threads?

It’s going to turn into one hell of a blood bath by all indications. And imagine the joys that must be seething around Valerie Jarrett’s mind as she thinks of the prospects of Iran finally taking over the whole area.

Can’t something be done?

The search is for our threads here, not the outside links.

How can they remove freerepublic from search, by redirecting people to other sites?

On the 100th anniversary of the assassination of the Archduke Ferdinand, no less. One thing I noticed that is getting no play is the QUDS force Iran sent is built to suppress Kurds...

I well remember Abu Bakr as being a prize capture in Iraq. Cannot believe Obama let him out.

There might be a link to Benghazi. Who armed the jihadis in the convoy of new Toyota pickup trucks that is taking over Iraq?

How can they take over a heavily armed country with small arms and pickup trucks?

Obama is golfing and fund raising. Baghdad is falling to Al Qaeda. Heads are literally rolling in the streets in Iraq.

How can the US government stand by and be silent after the years of sacrifice by our own military and citizens?

The events unfolding are so astonishing, it will not surprise me if the truth is uncovered and brings down the US government.

The only similar memory I have in my lifetime is the fall of Saigon.

My son is a Marine Corps recruit, and our family in is close contact with other military families. I can say that these events are very unwelcome by patriotic Americans, and there will be a very heavy blow-back by our citizenry.

As a bare minimum, the Democrats can kiss the Fall elections goodbye. Maybe Obama’s plans are that elections no longer matter in the USA, and he is going to destroy our republic before they ever come to pass.
