Why do they need air cover? Stingers? It's kind of hard to do air-ops when the airfield and its ingress and egress are not secured.
Also, our people have no choice but to rely strictly on airpower; Douchebag-in-Chief went to zero on the ground.

"Stingers?" Yes and a good many of them if they're organized along the lines of US units and equipped the same as well.
But don't worry about it. King Barry will be tough on Ukraine early in the coming week.
