lived in Ct in the 80s and CA in early 2000s.

both are beautiful.

I think Ct won out as a family place.

We cannot judge the character of a place by beauty alone.

Live in Texas now. Is it beautiful? yes, in different ways.

Its beauty is not in just scenery but in the people and its law-abiding and God-fearing citizens.

This is where I die

We just relocated from CA to SC a month ago, and got our first bills for our new house. They are 1/5 and 1/4 what we paid in CA. We lived in an are of Northern CA that was deeply conservative, but there weren’t enough of us to make a difference. We love it here is SC. It is still conservative and people here really speak their minds. Listening to local radio has been quite interesting.

Yes, I’ve thought about Texas. I really admire their spirit - never say die. If there’s one place that would fight til the last breath if things really deteriorate, it would be Texas. I may end up there yet. I sure hope the Left’s efforts to paint it blue never work.
