It’s like a spell people are under. They don’t want to appear racist, so they won’t take off at the first sign of trouble. I remember reading an article about a woman who said a man was following her, and eventually raped her, and even though he made her uncomfortable and she wanted to get away, she didn’t run because she didn’t want him to think she was racist.

Lesson learned, I guess. That’s a shame.

I’m not a tough guy, but I wouldn’t hesitate to evade. They might be laughing, but I’d be alive. I provide for a family; I can’t afford political correctness.
