HOUSTON, Texas—Governor Rick Perry (R-TX) appeared on Fox News’ Fox and Friends show and said Texas lacks the resources and manpower to secure the 1,200 mile Texas border with Mexico.

The comment sent shock waves through a Texas grassroots discussion thread on Facebook this morning of activists who are seeking a special session call from the Governor to deal with the issue of border security.

There should have been minefields and a 20 foot fence along our borders years ago. Now the idiots who have been asleep up to this point don’t have a clue what to do. Just DO SOMETHING!

IIRC, Apache attack helicopters were a bone of contention between state National Guard reserves and the Army recently.
Those Apaches would sure come in handy, eh, for whatever CONUS threat we’d face as a homeland?

Some pro-amnesty Republicans are just naive and stupid, but the vast majority know exactly what they're doing and what the consequences will be for the rest of us. They're willing to sell out and let serve as a dumping ground for the Third World's worst dregs for the following short term benefits:

1. Business interests who want the cheap labor.

2. Pandering for a handful of additional Hispanic votes (even though you have to wonder why those Hispanics would vote for a cheap imitation of a pro-amnesty Democrat when they can get the real thing).

3. They're so terrified of being tarred with the "racist xenophobe" brush that they'll sell out their own constituents to prove that it isn't so.

Number 1 reason....He doesn't have the balls or the courage!

Number 2 reason....He doesn't want to stop the illegal aliens invading Texas anyhow!

Texas politicians won’t even pass a law to allow open carry.

Dewhurst was instrumental in that.

We fired his ass.

Might suspicious that this obvious solution has never been tried by either party. Somebody’s being paid off.

“One of things that has stuck with me ever since I watched the Movie “Patton”
Was when he said “If mountain ranges and oceans can be overcome, then anything built by man can be overcome.”

Ditto for this, if can put a Man on the Moon, Build a Small Exploding Sun (Nuclear Bomb) we can keep out a bunch of Illegal immigrants.”

Patton was referring to fixed fortifications like france’s Maginot Line, and later Hitler’s atlantic wall and if alive today, a wall at the US Mexico border.

That all takes Money, massive amounts of money which the Texas State Government doesn’t have.

Remember Texans pay Washington thou the noses to do that. They don’t exactly have anther fortune sitting around, because Washington wasted all their hard earned dollars on corruption and various ‘causes’ they were never authorized to do.

The river runs dry, it can’t support the piranhas, and even if it could they ain’t exactly aggressive as Hollywood portrays them.

The best Texans could do is landmine the border and of course Washington will not permit that in a million years.

Perry was Al Gore’s campaign manager in 1988
In 1989 he was recruited by Karl Rove

it’s hard to know which is worse.

Thanks!

The 36th Inf Div came immediately to my mind first... their Rapido River crossing in Italy in WWII is a heroic story or courage, bravery, and determination...

Part of our American history, heritage, traditions, as a PEOPLE and a NATION..

The Obama administration itself is the one who had the plan to bring these kids in, and then spread them around through the country. And they are allowing these escorts, in essence, to stand in for the LEOs and move them forward.

Anyhow, the Obama administration facilitated this thing, and the stories about these kids running from drug cartels, and newspaper publishing stories to encourage it is either a cover for their operation, or something be used to help facilitate it.

Don’t believe it?

In January of this year, the federal Government, through the Department of Homeland Security, solicited a contract for vendors to provide the escort services to our border for these “Unaccompanied Alien Children,” to the tune of 65,000 of them.

Here’s the solicitation, still up on the US Government Web Site:
