I think circuit court is federal court.
It appears to be a Florida court. This is basically a defamation suit, which state courts are competent to hear. Because of the amounts involved and the serious 1st Amendment issues involved, it is possible it could be transferred to the federal circuit, but that might not occur until the appeals process starts.
This might be a long one if Zimmerman isn’t willing to settle out of court.
