Saddam has WMDs; he shipped them to Syria before the war. There is no other explanation for how Syria obtained WMDs.
You're kidding. Syria got chemical weapons from Egypt when they were allies. They got them from the Soviet Union before the collapse of the USSR. They probably had the capacity to make chemical weapons themselves. And if you remember Israel destroying their nuclear reactors in 1981 and again in 2007, it's pretty clear that Syria wasn't all that primitive and dependent on outsiders when it came to WMDs.
