When (Republican) Wehby was first asked (before the primary)about the Employment Non-Discrimination Act, she said she was not familiar enough with the bill to take a stand on it.

Wehby also visited Portland's annual Pride Festival on Friday and tweeted pictures of her posing with participants. The festival, held in Tom McCall Waterfront Park, is tied to the annual parade celebrating the LGBT community.

Another RNC candidate turns hard left after getting the primary nomination. Pathetic.

It is Oregon. The best U.S. Senator they had in the last half century or more was Gordon Smith. And he had RINO tendencies too.

RNC supported unknown, inexperienced moderate... over well experienced conservative. This totally exposes the RNC and Karl Rove

As distasteful as it may feel supporting these RINOs, please keep in mind that electing any Senate candidate with an “R” by their name puts Ted Cruz and Mike Lee one step closer to Committee Chair positions.

Oregon is a one-party state, and the public employee unions and the loony environmental left run the place.

This is a test to see if R's can elect anyone to a state-wide office, even against an unpopular incumbent.

A squishy RINO will be crushed. A real conservative willing to attack the bureaucratic corruption and over-regulation might garner support from real citizens fed up with the mess, but they wouldn't pass muster with what's left of the GOP establishment in the state.

Anyone who supports ENDA or anything like it does not deserve our vote. Its just left wing fascism. Not only does this kind of legislation not belong at the federal level it runs against the basic freedoms laid out in the bill of rights. You don’t have a right to force people to like or hire you because you are a fag or cut your penis off and pretend to be a woman. This is the worst type of corporatism and the last thing we need is more government control of how private business is ran.

A conservative Republican has no chance of winning a senate seat in Oregon. You take whatever you can get that will caucus with the Republicans.

I respectfully disagree. As an Oregon Conservative, I will never hold my nose again and vote for someone with whom I have profound core conservative disagreements. I would rather the state end up re-electing a liberal douche like Merkley, and let the people who supported him suffer his wrath. He does not even have the courage to advertise he is running as a democrat.

Voters are, for the most part, apathetic uninformed mouth-breathing morons. They’re mostly obese, tattooed, flip-flop wearing losers who have no clue what the hell is happening to the country. It’s time they pay the price for their ignorance. No more RINOS. No more “lesser of two evils.” My vote has to be earned, not comprised.

While I agree with your last sentence, I think you are confusing all Oregonians with the populace of the Portland metro area. Most everyone I’ve ever met out side of Portland and Eugene are pretty level headed conservatives.

That is true, but the population around Portland and Eugene also decide most of the election winners. Just not enough people in Eastern Oregon. Level headed folks in Oregon, whether on the East or West side of the Cascades, are definately in the minority.

The problem is that most Democrat voters in blue states don’t have enough brains to ever figure out why their states are so screwed up. I am down in Florida. The only reason we are a swing state is because so many transplants from up north vote the same way they did in the places they left. We’d be solid red if only natives could vote.
