Choctaw Indian words which translate as red people (okla meaning "people" and humma meaning "red")Actually, I thought it was there other way around, with okla being red, but I could be wrong. I think about 25 states are named after Native American words. I think all those names should be changed, so we don't offend them. /s

BTW, I am a big time Chicago Blackhawks fan, but I am sure their name is the next one on the chopping block. We won't be able to use that name much longer. How does this grab you? We can change it to the Chicago Puck Pushers, or maybe the Chicago Lamp Lighters, or the Chicago Blue Liners, but certainly not the Chicago Oklahomans.
