I think there is another, more nefarious reason: the Obama Administration is playing favorites and forced the US Patent Office to issue this ruling as the first step in forcing Daniel Snyder to eventually sell the team to an Obama "crony."

We're forgetting that the cost of changing the name and logo of the team--that means finding the new name, designing the new logo, replacing all the names and logos at the team's practice facility and at FedEx Field, and ESPECIALLY producing all-new merchandise for the team--could run as high as US$300 million. That's 1/4 the net worth of Snyder, and I don't think Snyder wants to part with 1/4 his net worth just to please the politically correct crowd. As such, this forces the sale of the team to a financially well-endowed Obama "crony" who can afford to foot the bill for the name and logo change.

You are probably right.

In addition, the Soros Administration gets to display a naked power grab here. It bothers me that the concept of private property is being totally subverted here. But I suppose they are just setting us up for the new America where the hordes of illegals will just take whatever they want from us, and we will have no legal recourse

That said, I have a hard time feeling sorry for the NFL, given the increasingly disgusting displays they have inflicted upon their fans during the Super Bowl halftime shows. They seem determined to smear their filth in the collective face of decent Americans.
