The Tea Party may have had a defeat last night, but I doubt the GOP - Good Ole Pricks - understands how many bridges it burned to get there. In 2002, IIRC, Cochran got 85% of the vote. In 2008, he got 60%. In 2014, after spitting in the face of over half the Republicans in Mississippi, how many will he get?
Assumption: The political prognosticators are correct in predicting that the 'Rats will regain control of the Senate in 2016.
Therefore there will be no lasting benefit to giving the GOPe, as currently motivated, the Senate in 2014.
Let the McDaniel voters with sit home or vote for Cochran's opponent.
Definitely fund McConnell's opponent and vote for same in 2014.

It was a Pyrrhic victory that will come back to bite them. The GOPe is shortsightedly turning conservatives into virulent, dedicated enemies. They will regret it.
Enough to win, probably very easily - and that's all he cares about.
One has to wonder....WHO is REALLY picking these rotten apples?
Is America really this stupid...or has it just thrown in the towel out of apathy/frustration?
Yep this November when the Tea Partiers stay home and the Democrat Negroes that voted for Thad in the primary cast their usual vote for the Democrat, then ol’ Thad is sent packing. The RINOs have basically handed Mississippi to the Dems/Communists. Way to go Haley Barbour.
>> The Tea Party may have had a defeat last night
No one is ever defeated by a cheater.
The outcome was nothing more than a technical setback.
