Issa: I'll Consider Immunity for Lois Lerner

House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa says he's willing to consider immunity for former IRS official Lois Lerner, but he wants to know what she plans to say first.

"If she were willing to proffer through her attorney that she would tell us something meaningful, disclose how these crimes were committed, how they sought to and who sought to go after conservative groups because of their values, then we could, and I would … have a vote to grant her immunity," Issa said Tuesday on Fox News Channel's "The O'Reilly Factor."

But Issa said that South Carolina Rep. Trey Gowdy, a former federal prosecutor, has warned him never to grant immunity without a proffer of what the witness will say.

The pardon haul will be measured in mega millions.

That is why the Clinton poor mouth claims are so pathetic.

Yeah, but the mega-bucks are the repatriated bribe money being laundered through the Clinton Global Initiative. You can bet that Barry & Michele are salivating at the bucks they are going to be raking in from their 3rd world buddies. Probably make the Clintons’ look like small-timers.

“Issa: I’ll Consider Immunity for Lois Lerner”

Is Issa reeling this out to make the contempt charges easier to support when Lerner declines? I would be astounded if Lois Lerner agreed to give up anything significant (including the White House and Congressional Democrats); she does not seem the suicidal type. The more Issa defers to Gowdy for the thinking part the better; this was probably his idea.

As long as Obama and Holder have her back, absolutely. But again, even the idea of offering her immunity against prosecution from Holder is like trying to convince someone to buy an insurance policy in case they get gored by a unicorn.

Two words...Susan McDougal. Going to prison was better than testifying.

Club Fed for a bit, followed by a pardon is way preferable to Fort Marcy Park.

None of them got where they are by being stupid.

Excuse me but doesn’t this show that Lois was using a Blackberry to email. Is there anything missing from it?

If you think there will be serious followup on this before those files are deleted too you need another drink :P

All this is kabuki. The GOP establishment supports what the IRS did just as much as the dims.

This will be lots of fuss and fume but nothing will be done.

“Conservative” Hero Jihad Darrell Issa: “Wouldn’t Mind 8 Years of Obama, Goal to Make Him Strong”

By Debbie Schlussel

As longtime readers know, I’ve written about Hezbollah/Arafat/Syria/Saudi Arabia-lover Jihad Darrell a/k/a Republican Congressman Darrell Issa for over a decade, from when he appointed himself Yasser Arafat’s personal taste-tester to when he called 9/11, “simply a plane crash.”

Yep, issa, the filthy koranimal sympathizer, is going to bring down the justice!

I agree. They either have to give her immunity or stick her in jail for contempt. One or the other. Lerner is not going to testify without a major nudge. I’m sure Obama’s people are telling her not to worry that nothing will ever happen to her and she will never have to testify.
