Boom: Oscar Winner Gary Oldman Slams Pelosi and Political Correctness
Townhall.com ^ | June 25, 2014 | Doug Giles

Posted on 06/25/2014 3:00:15 PM PDT by Kaslin

One of my favorite Oscar-winning actors might have just destroyed his career in Hollywood.

Gary Oldman did what is verboten amidst the Hollywood lovelies; namely, crap on liberal politicians, condemn political correctness and laud libertarian and conservative thought.

In an interview with Playboy, Oldman wields a sledgehammer on the fetid idols that have kept most of the actors that work in Tinseltown at bay.

Check it out.

Regarding political correctness, Oldman said…

“I just think political correctness is crap. That’s what I think about it. I think it’s like, take a f***ing joke. Get over it. … I don’t know about Mel. He got drunk and said a few things, but we’ve all said those things. We’re all f***ing hypocrites. That’s what I think about it.”

Regarding Nancy Pelosi, Oldman said…

“Well, if I called Nancy Pelosi a c**t—and I’ll go one better, a f***ing useless c**t—I can’t really say that. But Bill Maher and Jon Stewart can, and nobody’s going to stop them from working because of it.”

Regarding racism, Oldman said…

“It’s our culture now, absolutely. At the Oscars, if you didn’t vote for 12 Years a Slave, you were a racist. You have to be very careful about what you say. I do have particular views and opinions that most of this town doesn’t share, but it’s not like I’m a fascist or a racist. There’s nothing like that in my history.”

Regarding FOX News’ Charles Krauthammer, Oldman said…

“There are a number of people. A voice I particularly like is Charles Krauthammer. I think he’s incredibly smart. I think he’s fair, very savvy and politically insightful, so I enjoy watching him.”

Regarding a potential Hillary Clinton presidency, Oldman said …

“What can I say? I feel we need some real leadership, and it’s nowhere in sight. Look at what’s happening right now. John Kerry going off to China to talk about North Korea? What’s that going to do? The ludicrousness of it. What a waste of money. You’re going to go to the puppeteer and say, “Can you help me with the puppet?” As far as Hillary, I guess I feel like my character in The Contender, Shelly Runyon. He doesn’t want Joan Allen to become president; he just believes she isn’t the right person for the job. It’s nothing to do with the fact that she’s a woman, but he uses a bit of dirt on her to bring her down.”

Oldman might have screwed the pooch as far as his Hollywood buddies go, but as far as God and country loving patriots that are pig sick of the triple standards of political correctness are concerned, I think we might’ve just found a new hero.

Rock-N-Roll, Gary. Don’t let the bastards grind you down.

It’s a big deal when it’s in the headline. And Townhall printed it. Don’t they bother to read what they print?

Well I’ve know that he is conservative for years. He is also very pro-2nd Amendment.

Not that there’s anything wrong with that, mind you

His manager and buddy is Douglas Urbanski (used to fill in for Savage...not sure if he still does) an Urbanski always indicated Oldman was conservative or at least mostly leaning that way.

Unfortunately, Urbanski is out there doing damage control:

...and Oldman is back pedalling:

Maybe getting pressure because of his upcoming film’s release. Oh well.

I read the entire article the other day after seeing Jason Mattera link it on Facebook. He’s in my top ten of actors. Have liked him since Sid and Nancy (not the c___ for San Fran) days. :)

In another except from the article, I thought Gary Oldman made the distinction that he’s a Libertarian if he had to side up with any party. He also called out Bill Maher as a phony Libertarian.

“Libertarian” has a whole host of meanings and although he may self-identify in that regard, we have no idea what he means by that. I self-identify as both a paelo-conservative and a libertarian...it depends on the issue at hand. I don’t identify as a “Republican” anymore...the overall label is rather meaningless and I suspect that Oldman also is more trying to distance himself from the e-GOP than he is trying to align with any organized libertarian movement.

Like a good European, he also lauds the antisemtic ramblings of Mel Gibson. He even claims moral equivalence with the Jews as if we say f...ing Germans (read without the ellipses) or someping along that line.

I've seen Jews talk about "f---- [n-word]" from time to time. Does that count?

Funny since "hypocrite" is derived from the Greek word for actor. He cusses more than the conservatives I know, though.

Among ethnic groups it is the blacks that are the most antisemitic (Islam is not a race). The yiddish word for black people is treating as the equivalent of the “n word” and it is not.

She didn't use Yiddish.

“Libertarian” has a whole host of meanings

I bought a WebTV in the summer of '97 and the second word I typed into the search engine was "libertarian".

The second to the top result was Free Republic.

Been here ever since.

A lady I know. I was saying that I've known Jews who've used the "n-word", and you put in a non-sequitur about Yiddish, which only seems to be known by elderly Jews in the US these days.

A lady you know? Terrific /sarc

Blacks have a vicious knock out game where they are smashing white people (mostly Orthodox Jews in NYC) for the fun of it. As the Orthodox Jews the knock out types are slugging usually vote Republican, the behavior of those feral black youth is reminiscent of the Ku Klux Klan during Reconstruction when they terrorized blacks not to vote for Republicans.

Your anecdote/extreme vividness or maybe even an outright fable proves nothing except your willingness to engage in logical fallacies and, perhaps, blaming the victim.
